FearTools Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026

Summary

FearTools does not collect, transmit, store, or retain any user data. Everything you enter into the app is stored locally on your device and never leaves it. There is no account creation, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no server on our end that receives or holds your information.

Because we never receive your data in the first place, there is nothing for us to retain, share, sell, or delete. You are in complete control: deleting the app's data or uninstalling the app permanently erases everything.

We do NOT sell personal data to anyone, including data brokers, insurance companies, and social media companies. We are not in the business of selling data—we are in the business of improving mental health.

1. Introduction

Inquiry Health LLC, herein referred to as ("us", "we", or "our"), operates the FearTools mobile application, hereinafter referred to as the "Service".

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures concerning the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when using our Service and the choices you have in association with that data. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Definitions

Service: Service refers to the FearTools mobile application operated by Inquiry Health LLC.

Personal Data: Personal Data signifies data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

User Data: Any information you enter into the Service, such as journal entries, exposure hierarchies, thought records, and settings.

3. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect any information from the Service. Specifically:

  • No information you enter into the app is gathered, transmitted, or accessible to us. All User Data remains solely on your device.
  • The app does not require or offer account creation, and we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other identifiers.
  • The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The only information collected in connection with the app is what Google or Apple collects whenever any app is downloaded through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, such as OS version, country, carrier, and date downloaded. This information is collected by and provided to us only in aggregate, anonymized form by those platforms, is governed by their respective privacy policies, and cannot be used by us to identify you. You can review their policies here:

Google Play: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Apple App Store: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/

4. Data Retention

We do not store or retain any user data. FearTools has no server-side storage of User Data whatsoever: all information you enter into the app is stored exclusively in local storage on your own device, and it is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Because your data never reaches us, we have no copies, backups, logs, or records of it to retain. Your data persists on your device only for as long as you choose to keep the app and its data installed, and it is retained by no one else.

5. Data Deletion

You can permanently delete all of your FearTools data at any time, directly on your device, without needing to contact us:

  • Delete entries in the app: Individual entries can be deleted from within the app itself.
  • Uninstall the app: Uninstalling FearTools from your device permanently deletes all data the app has stored. On Android, you can also go to Settings > Apps > FearTools > Storage > Clear Data to erase all app data without uninstalling.

Because we do not collect, transmit, or store any user data on our servers, there is no server-side data to delete and therefore no separate deletion request process is required—deletion on your device is complete and final. If you have any questions or wish to submit a data deletion request anyway, you may contact us at support@inquiryhealth.com, and we will confirm that we hold no data associated with you.

6. Disclosure of Data

Since we do not collect or hold any Personal Data, we have no data to disclose, share, or sell to any third party under any circumstances, including legal requests: there is simply nothing in our possession to produce.

7. Security of Data

The most secure data is data that is never collected. Because FearTools keeps all of your information on your own device and transmits nothing, your data is protected by your device's built-in security, including any device encryption, passcode, or biometric protections you have enabled. We recommend using a device passcode to protect the data stored on your device.

8. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the Service collects no data at all, no personal information from children is ever gathered, stored, or processed by us.

9. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Other Laws)

Privacy laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grant users rights over their personal data, including the rights to access, correct, delete, port, and restrict the processing of that data, and the right to opt out of its sale.

FearTools satisfies these rights by design: we do not collect, process, store, sell, or share any personal data, so there is no personal data in our possession to access, correct, port, or delete. All of your data remains under your direct control on your device, where you can view, edit, or erase it at any time as described in Section 5. If you believe we hold any of your personal data or wish to exercise any privacy right, contact us at support@inquiryhealth.com.

10. Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to external resources (such as crisis hotlines or educational materials) that are not operated by us. If you follow a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. If we ever change our practices to begin collecting any user data, we will update this policy before doing so.

12. Contact Information

For any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, including data deletion requests, please contact us at support@inquiryhealth.com. We're here to address any privacy-related inquiries and ensure transparency in our data handling practices.
