Summary

No personally identifiable information is gathered from the application by default. There is no account creation requirement and by default your entries are stored only on your device.

The AI features involve data being processed by third party vendors, but the queries are anonymized, not tied to your identity, and contain only the information relevant to the search. We do not retain any queries on our servers.

We do NOT sell your personal data to anyone, including data brokers, insurance companies, and social media companies. We are not in the business of selling data-- we are in the business of improving mental health.

1. Introduction

Inquiry Health LLC, herein referred to as ("us", "we", or "our"), operates the Juniper mobile application, hereinafter referred to as the "Service".

This Privacy Policy delineates our policies and procedures concerning the collection, utilization, and disclosure of personal data when utilizing our Service and the choices you possess in association with that data. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy carry the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.

2. Definitions

Service: Service refers to the Juniper mobile application operated by Inquiry Health LLC.

Personal Data: Personal Data signifies data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

Usage Data: Usage Data constitutes data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

While using our Service, we may request you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be employed to contact or identify you, such as Usage Data and Email Addresses.

Usage Data

When accessing the Service with a mobile device, we may collect specific information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you utilize, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you employ, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

Inquiry Health LLC employs the collected data for various purposes:

  • To notify you about modifications to our Service
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you elect to do so

5. Data Retention

Juniper does not retain any user data on our servers. All information you input into the app is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, nor do we store copies of it. This ensures that your personal information and journal entries remain entirely under your control.

6. AI Services

Our AI features utilize third-party services. When you use these features, your queries are processed by these services in real-time and then may be retained by these third party services. Juniper does not retain any of your queries or the resulting outputs. Each interaction is treated as a separate, anonymous request to ensure your privacy.

7. Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ.

If you are situated outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information signifies your agreement to that transfer.

We undertake all reasonably necessary steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. No transfer of your Personal Data will occur to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place, including the security of your data and other personal information.

Inquiry Health LLC may disclose your Personal Data in good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

We will not store or collect your payment card details. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

14. Children's Privacy

Juniper is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@inquiryhealth.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 16 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

15. Data Portability

You can export your data directly from within the Juniper app. This feature allows you to create a backup of your information or transfer it to another platform if you choose. We're committed to ensuring you have full control over your data, including the ability to take it with you.

16. European Union Information

Personal information gathered in the application and subject to the GDPR rules apply to Juniper Premium subscription users who use the Cloud Sync feature in the European Union.

Your rights under the law include:

  • Right of access: If you ask us, we will confirm whether we are processing your Personal Information and, if so, provide you with a copy of that Personal Information (along with certain other details).
  • Right to rectification: If your Personal Information is inaccurate or incomplete, you are entitled to have it rectified or completed. If we have shared your Personal Information with others, we will inform them about the rectification where possible.
  • Right to erasure: You may ask us to delete or remove your Personal Information in some circumstances, such as where we no longer need it or you withdraw your consent.
  • Right to restrict processing: You may ask us to restrict or 'block' the processing of your Personal Information in certain circumstances, such as where you contest the accuracy of that Personal Information or object to us processing it.
  • Right to data portability: You have the right to obtain your Personal Information from us that you consented to give us or that is necessary to perform a contract with you.

Juniper does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. The only cookies we use are those that are strictly necessary for the functioning of our app. These cookies do not collect any personal information and are used solely to enhance your experience within the app.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
