Immersive rooms

Stand in front of the real thing, at its real size

The Coronation of Napoleon is over 32 feet wide, and it fills the end of its room. The Last Supper covers the wall of a Florentine refectory, and the Mona Lisa faces it, smaller than you remember.

Tap any painting and you're standing in front of it. Fifteen rooms, each built for its art: a Gothic town hall, a Roman chapel for Caravaggio, a Japanese room with tatami, a royal gallery in Madrid.

The guide

It shows you where to look

As the guide talks, a soft light moves across the painting to exactly what it's describing: the girl in gold in the Night Watch, the little dog in the Arnolfini Portrait, the writing above the mirror.

Nothing is drawn on the painting. You just know where to look.

What museums can't show you

Open the altarpieces

The Isenheim Altarpiece stands on its altar, and its wings swing open to the paintings inside. The Ghent Altarpiece closes to show its outer panels.

See the Night Watch in X-ray, and the Milkmaid in infrared: the first ideas under the paint.

Up close

Closer than any museum lets you stand

Step closer, and closer again, until you can see the brushwork. No rope, no glass, no crowd, no closing time.

Klimt's The Kiss hanging at its true size on a living room wall, seen through Apple Vision Pro

See it in your room

Hang it on your own wall, at true size

Bring any painting home. The Kiss is 71 inches square: put it on your wall and see how big it really is. The guide keeps talking, and keeps pointing.

On Vision Pro, or on iPhone in AR.

Asking the guide a question in front of the Arnolfini Portrait on Apple Vision Pro

Ask

Ask it anything, out loud

Why is there a dog? Who are the two figures in the mirror? The guide answers in the same voice, and it knows the painting, the room, and what you've already heard.

Or follow the guide: every room has its own tour, from painting to painting.

On iPhone

Then take the guide to any museum

Point your iPhone at the label beside any painting, in any museum, and the guide starts talking in your ear. Every piece you hear is saved, by museum, to listen to again.

One membership opens both, Vision Pro and iPhone.

Fifteen rooms. Seven centuries.

Each room is hung for its art, with its own wall text, its own music, and its own tour.
